MOBY is an e-mobility company focused on e-bike fleets / e-bike schemes for corporates & city councils, and e-bike / e-cargo bike solutions for the delivery / logistics industry. 

Headquartered in Dublin, we operate across Ireland, the UK, Holland & the USA. We launched and operated Ireland's first dockless electric bike scheme in early 2020 and evolved to become a provider of managed fleets to leading European and US corporates, food & grocery delivery businesses, & logistics companies. Launched in 2020, the business has scaled very quickly and has done so profitably.

We manage corporate e-bike and e-cargo bike fleets for major logistics companies, e.g. DHL, Amazon etc, and for food and quick commerce companies like Dominos, Gorillas, Getir, Flink and Just Eat Takeaway. We also provide and manage e-bike fleets for corporate campuses, business parks, hospitals etc and hotel brands like Hilton and Aloft. To integrate our vehicles seamlessly into cities and customers’ sites, we also offer charging and parking solutions.

MOBY has exciting and ambitious growth plans and lots of projects in development that will give it significant defensibility in this industry and will help move the world towards net zero.

Role Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Operations Manager is to implement policies and strategies to improve productivity and efficiency levels, build an enjoyable company culture and drive the team to achieve high levels of the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

We are looking for a Superhero in Operations to help us expand our operations in the UK. We are looking for someone who is very hands-on, flexible and not afraid to go after the right solution for our company and clients. This is a super operational, analytical and versatile role that will require someone with leadership skills, strong set of logistical skills and marketing experience. You have outstanding cross-functional project management and communication skills and a passion for micro mobility. 

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain a highly efficient and motivated field operations organization
  • Hiring, training and performance management of workshop managers, supervisors, e-bike technicians, on-street fleet operations team and customer service team
  • Track and report critical supply and demand metrics. Use data to optimize processes, creatively solve problems, and track results
  • Communicate and collaborate with Senior Management team and across the organization to ensure efficient and continuous delivery of improvement in daily operations
  • Lead urgent projects, prioritize tasks, and overcome obstacles that come your way
  • Must be able to lead, coach, inspire, support, and motivate your team to achieve continuous improvement
  • Carry out all regular team and people management related requirements, including but not limited to Time Management, Quality of Work, Sickness Absence, Holiday Requests, one to ones
  • Manage Mechanics’ targets efficiently ensuring quality and safety at all times
  • Oversee good housekeeping practices ensuring all work areas
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, and health and safety policy and regulations, including manual handling and safe systems of work guidelines
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal & external customers

  • Manage, develop, and motivate teams to achieve and maintain daily and weekly KPI’s
  • Working closely with Workshop Mechanics and supervisors to make sure training is in place, stock takes are done, SLA’s are accomplished
  • Identify the cause of delay or undelivered status
  • Daily Communications and collaboration with business unit to resolve, handle, and prevent shipping exceptions every day
  • Manage customer’s concern and resolve issues
  • Follow up and coordinate with Service Providers to ensure timely delivery
  • Provide solution / recommendation to business unit for exception incidents/cases
  • Support peak event execution activities as/when required is needed
  • Updating schedule of team of mechanics, absence reports, holidays requests and TOIL
  • Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to improve productivity, reduce cost, eliminate errors, and deliver an excellent service
  • Ensuring that a fleet of vehicles is operating in accordance with legislation and regulations
  • Advise and collaborate with Senior Management on initiatives such as product, legal, marketing to develop key initiatives that will drive efficiency
  • Maintaining and monitoring fleet and stock management supply - very hands-on that can take own initiative with your city team on every stage of the bike movements (deployment, rebalancing, collection, maintenance)
  • Continuously analysis of data to support key decisions that will impact the company performance and expansion


  • Generate and maintain weekly KPI reports related to Operations
  • Generate and maintain monthly operating costs report

Key Deliverables:

  • Generate and publish weekly and monthly operations reports
  • Communicate to business unit, business partners on actions to expedite to close open delivery
  • Maintaining SLA above agreed levels with customers
  • Push to close open delivery daily 

You Are / Have:

  • Highly Numerate – Love numbers
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and adaptability to new systems
  • Capable of leading broad overview/scenario discussions, but be detail oriented
  • Capable of producing high-quality information on a sustainable basis
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-tasking a dynamic and fast-paced environment is required
  • Proactive
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills, including goal-setting, motivation and training
  • Expert knowledge of best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry practices
  • Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software
  • Understanding of vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed
  • Ability to set and monitor a budget
  • Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities
  • Resilience with the ability to remain calm under pressure, think on your feet and achieve agreed deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Graduate / Post-graduate in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or similar
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Operations, Change Management
